Percussion Tambourines
The Tambourine is made with a frame and small metal items. The frame is generally made with wood or plastic. The small metal items are called zils.
Tambourines come in a variety of sizes. The most recognizable one is the circular tambourine. Vintage instruments and tambourines are also popular.
The most common way to play the Tambourine is to simple shake it. Or you can strike it on a stand or up against your leg. If you are more skilled you can attempt the thumb roll. To help with this you can add resin.
There are other versions of the Tambourine. The Pandeiro is a Brazilian percussion instrument. Riqs are often used in Arabic music.
